Tattoo inquiries

THE PROCESS

I can be reached vis email, Facebook, or Instagram for organizing my future clients and appointments.  Filling in the contact form gives me a better understanding of your vision regarding your future tattoo. More information you are able to provide, easier it is for me to proceed in advising time and cost.

Once I  have all the information I  need in order to do estimations, NOTE I do not take on all projects, some things just aren’t my style.  Once I’ve received all the information needed, I will contact you, and  you will be provided with a deposit form to secure the selected date as your appointment date. I do FaceTime consultations. Ask me about having one. $100 deposit is mandatory in order to move past a 15 min consultation and get to ANY part of designing. It’s impossible to get an appointment without a  deposit. I need to know you’re just as committed as I am. Your deposit will be held until the LAST session of your tattoo. Then the deposit is applied to your overall balance.

You can find more information on the bottom of the page about my rates and breakdown on what is the difference between predawn, custom or portfolio request.

THE DESIGN

Choosing a tattoo design, size and location on the body; As skin heals and ages it is important to remember that the tattoo will mature with the skin; Lines will soften and the blacks will fade to dark grey. This will happen to all skin types and can not be prevented with any aftercare. How the tattoo will look after healing is a combination of the tattoo, skin type and aftercare. During the tattoo process it is important for the client to stay relaxed and still to supply the tattoo artist the best possible surface to work on. Any rapid movements might affecting the artists ability to produce quality work. When choosing the design, giving the tattoo artist as much free room to plan out the design will ALWAYS result in a design that is going to be made by the artists best knowledge to suit the area of the body as well as making the design correspond the best to the artists own sense of aesthetics.

It is important to choose an artists that sense of design is style is corresponding to the end all result you are looking for. Giving ideas and elements for the tattoo artist to use is always welcome, as well as inspiration pictures.

With choosing a size for a tattoo design, larger is often better. For larger designs the tattoo artist is able to add more detail to the designs without compromising the longdivity of the design. This means that as the tattoo and skin ages and the lines in the tattoo naturally blur, the design will not become too unclear to “read”. Larger design means that as the skin heals, there is more space for the natural “blurring” and the design will look better for longer time. There are always exception to this rule, but in general this applies to majority of tattoos.

CUSTOM VS. PORTFOLIO

CUSTOM pieces are work that I draw on the basis of clients specific requests (specific elements), whereas PORTFOLIO designs give artistic freedom to Me based on VERY general likes/dislikes.

RATES:

-CUSTOM pieces are work that I draw on the basis of clients specific requests. Prior to booking you are Wellcome to send me reference pictures of my existing work or inspirational photographs and designs. From these I will gather ideas to propose for the tattoos, which often includes a rough sketch or placeholder image to communicate shape and flow. After booking you are able to request a half way sketch which often is available few days prior to appointment date.
-CUSTOM tattoo rates are the following:
-$150 an hour, $300 minimum UNLESS I have a special that’s being advertised differently OR you have gotten verbal OK from myself.
CUSTOM NOTES: For custom designs there is time built in for some back and forth for minor adjustments on the day of the tattoo. If any major redrawing is required the estimated tattooing time will be expanded to accommodate the required drawing time. Please provide the following for Custom inquiries.

  • Description of the design
  • Location on your body
  • Approximate size in inches
  • Desired day and time for an appointment
  • Desired style
  • Any relevant visual references or font styles

-PORTFOLIO and PREDRAWN designs give artistic freedom to me based on VERY general likes/dislikes.
-PORTFOLIO/PREDRAWN tattoo rates are the following:
-$100 hour, $200 minimum

PORTFOLIO NOTES: Why are PORTFOLIO pieces cheaper? Portfolio gpieces give the freedom of design to the artist and require the client to trust the artist more. This is a design that gives me freedom to express my artistic side. For portfolio pieces client can give words on what they LIKE and what they DISLIKE. For example: yes: Birds, flower, feminine / no: skulls, masculine, occultism. From here I will take these elements (sometimes just one, sometimes all of them) and work with them as guidance.
